Have you ever wanted something so badly it consumes you?
There is a fine line between needs and wants.
Deke Gavelson has wanted his Ravage cut for as long as he can remember. He’s earned it. He was born to be in this club. He’s not afraid to fight for his place, either.
Then she barreled into his world, and Deke suddenly desires something more than his rag and winning the next round.
Rylie Hollister has lived through hell and back. Each event makes her the strong, independent woman she is today. Until a bitter underground fighter threatens to turn her plans upside down.
These two are bound by their desires, but oh, how that changes when his intensity meets her passion.
Best One Yet!
As a huge Ravage MC fan, I have loved and just liked some of the characters and their stories. Each book seemed to get better and better but at the end of the day, none ever blew me away. I loved Princess and Cruz and GT and Casey and I enjoyed their stories but honestly, they were like so many really good MC stories out there. Then came Bound by Family and getting to know an all grown up Cooper and I loved him. I thought, wow, Ryan Michele has outdone herself with this one. Now, after reading Bound by Desire and learning about Deke and what led him to become the man he is now; I applaud you, Ryan Michele, you blew this one out of the water! This is by far my favorite of all of your books.
What I Loved: I fell head over heels for Deke. There was this tiny little moment where I anticipated him being a class A Jerk and wondered if I'd like him but it did not last long. This man broke my heart, I actually cried a few times at the blows life kept throwing his way. He impressed me on more than one occasion and I wanted only good things for him.
Good things came in the form of Rylie. Again, I had a moment of not being quite sure if I was going to like her but it quickly went away when I realized this tough as nails, badass woman was perfect for Deke. I loved how realistic and natural her strength was, she wasn't just playing at being tough or acting that way out of some desperate need to prove something. Nope, she just was.
I have to say that what really impressed me about this one was the fact that it felt deeper and more emotional than any of the other books. Deke's relationship with his family and the club made me sad but the relationship with his father absolutely broke my heart. I actually felt his pain. Truth is, I don't think I'll ever be able to look at GT the same way again and I won't be able to fully forgive his character either (look at me getting all emotional and personal over a fictional character *wipes a stray tear*). Deke is a strong man to look at his father again.
What I Like: Great story, I love the plot and the fact that it wasn't some anticlimactic easy cleanup. It looks like we will have some great sequels coming soon. I personally can't wait for the next book. I have a feeling it is going to be hard to put down.
What I Didn't Like: There are a couple of things I didn't like but, unfortunately, I can't say them without giving spoilers. Let's just say some people needed to suffer a little more. Forgiveness was much too easy and maybe it's just me (I'm told I hold a mean grudge) but I think Deke deserved a little more in the form of redemption. However, that's my personal opinion.
Overall, this was an excellent read. Well-written and easy to get lost in. I loved the characters and their scorching chemistry. I would definitely recommend this to anyone but especially to fans of this series.
