With the wedding of Jack Frost and Rudy Rein Dear only three weeks away, everyone travels to Jack’s palace in Svalbard, Norway, where the happy couple will exchange vows beneath the northern lights. Festivities have been planned leading up to the wedding, and Dasher eagerly anticipates not just the fun, but staying under the same roof as the blustering winter spirit who’s caught his eye—the King of Frost, Jack’s father.
A long-ago tragedy has left Eirik fearing to ever love again. As the King of Frost, Eirik maintains his distance from everyone, especially the young Christmas elf who insists on intruding on Eirik’s solitude. But Dasher is determined to find a way to show the lonely king that his heart still beats and he shouldn’t fear allowing it to beat for another.

4 Stars!

I’ve been waiting a long time for The King and Dasher to finally get their story told and I was so excited to finally see these two come together. After all, we have the King of Winter who has mourned the death of his beloved Queen for so long. He’s built walls around his heart that most wouldn’t dare to attempt to tear down but Dasher sees a man who is in need of the love Dasher is determined to give him.

I really enjoyed this story which came as no surprise since I am a huge Charlie Cochet fan. I love how these stories have this fun and whimsical way about them and are perfect for the holidays. The characters are always so fun and unique, the writing painting a vibrant and vivid picture that I adore and the story fun, sweet and entertaining.

I loved Dasher who just wouldn’t give up even when he thought it might be futile. I loved Eirik who even through his brusque reserved demeanor could be funny and spontaneous, sweet and generous. He was a perfect fit for Dasher and I enjoyed the way the wedding of Jack and Rudy brought everyone together. I love this series for these cold days before the holidays.

I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves fun and sweet with a touch of adventure. We’ve got Sugarplum Fairies, Elves and Toy Soldiers, Rein Dears and Kringle, Kings and Princes of Frost and Magical Winter Wonderlands. It’s a fun adventure filled with plenty of romance book.
